Your logbook and iCloud

Glovebox stores your vehicles, fuel and charging logs, costs, valuations, wishlist items, and notes on your device. When you are signed into iCloud, these records sync using Apple's CloudKit service. Sign in with Apple supplies an app identity and, when available, a display name. The app remembers this identity on your device.

Sharing with family

When you invite people to a family fleet through Apple's sharing interface, accepted participants can view that fleet's records and edit them when their sharing permissions allow it. Their records may include their display names so other members can identify contributors. The owner can manage access in the sharing interface; participants can leave the shared fleet. Your separate personal fleet is preserved when you join or leave a shared fleet.

Photos and exports

Profile and vehicle photos are stored locally. CSV exports and diagnostic exports are created only when you choose those actions; you decide where to send them using the system sharing interface. CSV files can contain your fleet records, costs, and notes. Diagnostic files contain the app's recent operational logs.

Spreadsheet mirror

If you enable Spreadsheet mirror, Glovebox automatically writes a generated CSV copy of the active fleet into the folder you select in Files while the app is active. If that folder is in iCloud Drive, Apple synchronizes those files. Anyone with access to the folder can read the exported records. The app does not read spreadsheet edits back into the fleet. Turning off mirroring stops future updates but leaves existing files in the selected folder; you can remove those copies in Files.

Services and analytics

Glovebox does not include advertising or third-party analytics. The developer does not operate a separate server that receives your fleet records. Apple provides iCloud, Sign in with Apple, and TestFlight under its own privacy terms. TestFlight can provide the developer with crash, usage, and feedback information through Apple's testing service.

Editing and deleting data

You can edit or delete individual records in the app. A fleet owner can delete the active fleet's data through Settings; this deletes its iCloud zone and local data and affects all participants. For a participant, the Settings removal action leaves the shared fleet, removes its active local copy, and signs out; the owner's fleet and your separate personal fleet remain. Signing out alone preserves saved device data. Copies you previously exported or sent to others remain in those destinations.
