Pey Me Mney

App Studios, LLC (paperwork pending)

A one-guy app studio making software for people who like cars, cones, and keeping the family posted. Three apps are on TestFlight, two are in the archive queue, and one is a racing sim you drive in socks. The name is a business plan. The apps are free — for now. One day, you will pey.

SpeedStream {{ pt.tx }}

Autocross telemetry with an AI driving coach — track days next. Your phone rides along locked in a pocket, records every run at up to 25 Hz, draws your line on a satellite map, and splits it corner by corner so run 4 can be compared — unfavorably — to run 7. Then the coach explains, politely and with evidence, exactly why you were slow. It has diagnosed its own developer as “late on throttle” at every event this season. He built it. It's still right.

  • Arm it once at the venue. It catches every run — and never the drive home.
  • Cones first, circuits next: lapping is already in the engine, the track-day screens are being built.
  • RaceBox, OBD, GoPro all optional. Your phone works day one.
  • The coach cites its sources and refuses to invent numbers. Unlike everyone in grid.

ConeCanvas {{ pt.tx }}

Autocross course design without booting actual AutoCAD. Pick a venue (three ship pre-traced from public satellite imagery), drag on slaloms, sweepers, and boxes that know the rulebook, and watch it count cones and course-feet live while you draw — then print a setup map the crew can read at 7 a.m. and walk it on the iPhone with GPS to check their work. Replaces roughly $500 of professional CAD — nobody has been brave enough to confirm the number — that never knew what a slalom was.

AC Autocross Maker {{ pt.tx }}

Feed it the club's course-map PDF and it builds the whole thing in Assetto Corsa: reads the drawing, fits it onto the real venue, and stands every cone up within 0.6 meters of where it'll be on Sunday — timing lights included. Everyone else walks the course Sunday morning. You drove it Wednesday, in socks. Has yet to make anyone here measurably faster; see the flagship app for the receipts.

Glovebox {{ pt.tx }}

A logbook for every car the family drives. Ten-second fill-up logging at the pump, MPG math you can't lie to, a photo of each car so the list looks like a garage, and one ledger for the whole fleet — gas, EV charging, leases, insurance, regret. Commissioned to prove the sports car was a sensible purchase; it calculated $19.84 a mile and simply will not let it go.

Replaces one spreadsheet and several Apple Notes of shame.

Altrove {{ pt.tx }}

Like a flight tracker, but for the whole trip: a shared map of everywhere the family has been, live legs so nobody has to text “landed?”, and a board for planning wherever we're all going next — one place instead of four group chats. Seventy pull requests after the napkin sketch it runs on iPhone, iPad and Mac, with widgets, a Live Activity, and 38,037 family miles on the map.

Named after the Italian for "elsewhere," which is where we'd all rather be.

FAQ

Questions, answered reluctantly

How do I get on the SpeedStream TestFlight?

Right now you don't: it's in internal testing on iPhone, iPad and Mac. The friends group opens once the admissions committee, which is one guy, writes a privacy policy. Coaching is on the studio's tab — about $0.004 a debrief, which is the only thing here that costs money and you're not the one paying it.

Is everything really $0.00?

It's an introductory price we've held since founding. Charging money is on the roadmap. So is finishing the roadmap.

Why is it called Pey Me Money?

The founder is named Peyton. The rest is manifestation.

Android?

The studio owns one (1) development machine, and it is a Mac. We'll revisit after the first pey-ment clears.

Can I trust the AI coach?

It cites your own telemetry and is contractually forbidden from inventing numbers. It is, statistically, more honest than your co-driver.

Is SpeedStream only for autocross?

For now. The lapping engine is in — laps roll at the finish line, corners get named Turn N — and the track-day screens are next on the bench. Cones remain the studio's first love.

What is plop?

A social app for number two — the studio's worst-kept secret, now on TestFlight. The pavilion has the full exhibit. Admission free, obviously.

SpeedStream {{ pt.tx }}

The coach fits in your pocket. The excuses don't.

Arm it once at the venue and put the phone away. SpeedStream catches every run — never the drive home — then lays your speed-colored line over satellite, syncs GPS, G-forces, and video to one scrubber, and hands you a debrief from an AI coach that cites your own data back at you. Its most consistent finding to date: the developer brakes too early. Every corner. Every event. Track days are next.

What it does between your runs

Cones and circuits
Autocross first. Circuit lapping is in the engine today — laps roll at the finish line, out-laps and in-laps get tagged, corners get named Turn 1 through Turn N — and the track-day screens are next. Same coach, longer lecture.
Arm & forget
Runs auto-trigger on launch and auto-close on a stop. Biased to never miss a run, even in your pocket, even on a weak GPS fix.
Satellite replay
Speed-colored line on satellite, traction circle, speed / G / Δt traces under one scrubber. Scrub your run like game film.
An honest coach
Per-run debriefs you can talk back to. Every claim comes with tap-to-see-it evidence from your telemetry, down to “you over-carried into 9 and paid at 10.” It never invents a number.
Hardware optional
Phone GPS works day one. Pair a RaceBox Mini for 25 Hz, an OBD dongle for RPM and throttle, a GoPro for synced video. All optional.
Your data, your iCloud
Everything syncs through your own private iCloud database to the iPad and Mac companions. Share a course by link or QR — their runs stay theirs.
Video Studio
Auto-anchors your clips to the telemetry timeline and exports burned-in overlays — speed, Δ, Gs — so your claims become verifiable.

ConeCanvas {{ pt.tx }}

Draw the course. It counts the cones.

Before this, course design meant CorelDRAW or honest-to-goodness AutoCAD — somewhere north of $500 of professional CAD, we've been afraid to check — aimed at a parking lot. None of it knows what a slalom is. ConeCanvas does: pick a to-scale venue (or drop in your own satellite screenshot), snap on parametric slaloms, sweepers, and gates, let the 42-check Course Doctor nag you about escape routes, print both maps while it keeps the cone count honest — then hand the crew the iPhone and walk it.

salinas-aug-23-final-FINAL-v2.acx — 72 cones · 2,628 ft

For the designer, and the crew stuck setting it up

Field mode
The iPhone and iPad open the same course on setup morning: GPS walk-and-verify, as-built revisions when the lot disagrees with the drawing, and a steward sign-off. Paper or satellite, your call.
To-scale satellite tracing
Crows Landing, Salinas and Alameda Point ship pre-traced from public-domain imagery. Or drop in a satellite screenshot of your own lot, calibrate once, design there forever. The app never fetches a tile.
Elements that know themselves
Slaloms, sweepers, gates, offsets, lane changes, boxes, walls — parametric, draggable, and aware of the rulebook. Not twelve anonymous circles.
Live cone count
The setup crew knows exactly how many cones to load before you've finished drawing. They will still forget the timing lights.
Course Doctor
42 checks against SCCA rules and design guidance — speeds, spacing, escape routes — so tech inspection is pleasantly boring.
Print-ready PDF, twice
One map for the drivers' meeting, one for the crew with counts and measurements. No CAD, no subscriptions, no eyeballing.
Plays with the family
Exports to SpeedStream for timing, to Assetto Corsa for pre-driving, and to KMZ for Google Earth. The three racing products are, in fact, one scheme.

Walk the course Sunday. Drive it Wednesday.

A pipeline that reads the club's official course-map PDF and rebuilds the event inside Assetto Corsa — real venue, real layout, 350-odd knockable cones, every one within 0.6 meters of where the chalk says. By the time everyone else gets their course walk, you've had thirty runs. Results so far: perfect knowledge of the course, same mid-pack finish. The bottleneck has been identified. It drives.

Every fill-up. Every dollar. Every regret.

A logbook for every car the family drives — owned, loaned, or rented. Logging a fill-up takes ten seconds at the pump, works offline, and syncs through your own iCloud; charge sessions, repairs, leases, and insurance go in the same ledger. Then the insights engine does the math you were avoiding. It was commissioned to defend the sports car. It is now the prosecution's best witness.

Accounting, but make it honest

MPG you can't lie to
Full-fill-to-full-fill windows only. A partial fill extends the window instead of inventing a heroic 43 MPG tank.
Gas and electrons
Fuel logs and charge sessions side by side — $/mile for the Spyder vs the EV, settled with data instead of vibes.
Leases, first-class
A leased car is not an owned car with a monthly payment. Buy-out math, return-date status, and the equity question, answered before the dealer asks.
The ownership ledger
Money in, minus money out, divided by miles owned. The only equation that matters at exit, kept current while you hold.
The whole fleet
Owned, loaners, rentals — rentals spin up for a trip and roll into family totals without polluting any car's stats.
Own your data
CSV in, CSV out, losslessly. It replaces your spreadsheet without holding it hostage. The migration script survived a year of Apple Notes, including the one that just says "23.5ish".

Altrove {{ pt.tx }}

The family map of everywhere.

Like a flight tracker, but for the whole trip — hotels, drives, days out, not just the takeoffs. Log where the family has been, follow trips live so nobody has to text “landed?”, and plan the next one together, in one place instead of four group chats and a shared album nobody opens. Designed by everyone at the dinner table, then built anyway: iPhone, iPad and Mac share one layout, the Guide runs on your device, and location is armed per leg, default off, because the family read the privacy screen.

One trip, every layer of it

Whole trips, not flights
The full itinerary in one timeline — flights, hotels, drives, that one museum day. The flight is an event, not the story.
Follow along live
See the family's trip as it unfolds, without sending "landed?" into the void. Location is armed per leg with a tap, default off, and disarms itself. The void never answered anyway.
The been-map
Every place you've all been, on one map, with the receipts: miles together, countries, cities, days away. Objectively useless. Deeply satisfying.
Plan the next one
The Guide proposes, running on your device; the family disposes, running on The Table, a split-flap scoreboard for settling it. Widgets and a Live Activity for the day of.
The Garage
Road trips count. Every vehicle gets its own drive passport, and the miles roll into the family total. The Spyder is, once again, a witness.
